The AI Evaluator (Nuclear Technology & Operations) applies hands-on nuclear technical expertise to evaluate, validate, and improve AI-generated content related to nuclear systems monitoring, radiation detection, instrumentation, testing procedures, and operational safety. This role ensures AI outputs are technically accurate, safety-conscious, and aligned with real-world nuclear technician practices.
As an AI Evaluator, you will review and assess AI-generated responses, scenarios, and technical explanations involving nuclear instrumentation, radiation monitoring, system diagnostics, and operational procedures. You will identify technical inaccuracies, safety risks, and unrealistic assumptions, and provide structured feedback to enhance the reliability and performance of AI models in nuclear-related contexts. Key responsibilities include: - Evaluating AI-generated content related to nuclear instrumentation, radiation monitoring, and system testing - Validating accuracy of measurement techniques, operational procedures, and safety assumptions - Assessing realism of technical scenarios, system behavior, and response protocols - Applying structured evaluation rubrics to score AI outputs and recommend improvements - Flagging safety-critical errors, procedural gaps, or misleading technical guidance - Providing expert feedback to support the continuous improvement of AI performance in nuclear operations
- Professional background as a Nuclear Technician or a closely related nuclear technical role - 4+ years of professional experience in nuclear technology, instrumentation, or radiation monitoring - Strong understanding of nuclear systems, radiation safety, and monitoring equipment - Experience working in nuclear facilities, laboratories, or regulated technical environments - Ability to critically evaluate technical content and provide clear, structured written feedback - High attention to detail, safety awareness, and procedural discipline - Comfortable working remotely and reviewing written, scenario-based, or technical content - Preferred (but not required): - Experience with regulatory compliance, inspections, or safety documentation - Familiarity with nuclear instrumentation calibration or maintenance - Exposure to training, audits, or technical evaluations - Interest in AI, automation, or digital tools in nuclear technology Compensation Per completed evaluation task (rate may vary based on task scope and complexity)
